Dr. Zel was born and raised in Queens, New York. He grew up in a household that always had three cats. Now he has one dog, Zuzu, a rescue from Taiwan. He attended California Polytechnic University San Luis Obispo to earn his bachelor’s degree in Animal Science. He pursued his veterinary degree at University of Edinburgh’s Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies.
After graduating he practiced in Los Angeles, California. He has since returned to his roots in New York City and is happy to be part of the team at Williamsburg Animal Clinic. He loves to experience the human-animal bond clients have with their pets and strives to build long-lasting relationships with clients and their furry family members.
Outside of work, Dr. Zel and his wife enjoy all sorts of outdoor recreation including hiking, backpacking, camping, and biking. He also loves traveling to new places and reconnecting with old friends.
